ShortDate and AbbreviatedDate switched their meaning in RB2007.

That's not quite true.

As Claudius asked for German dates:

If you select a German date style in the International preferences pane, then the former ShortDate is AbbreviatedDate now, and former AbbreviatedDate is ShortDate now. I didn't test other international date formats.

Problem is now much bigger. AbbreviateDate hepled me shortly, but when I insert in an EditField 03.01.07 in germany is this 03.01.2007 but RB2007r1 makes 03.01.0007 by this code

  Test="03.01.07"
  Call ParseDate(Test,testdate)
  me.text=me.text+"ShortDate "+testdate.ShortDate+EndOfLine
  me.text=me.text+"AbbreviatedDate "+testdate.AbbreviatedDate+EndOfLine

Result in StaticText is

03.01.07
03.01.0007 <-- this is absolutely wrong

in german you can write 03.01.07 and 03.01.07 and 3.1.07 and so on and all is 3. January 2007

bye

Claudius
