Hi all, REALbasic 2007 Release 1 Pro. Linux (Novell suse linux 10.1) Mac OS X 10.4.8 Windows XP SPII
>From Mac OS X, I generated the code for all three platforms and try that. I already talk about the missing "x86RunHoudini.exe" so I do not talk for that. On the linux front, I will not install the application 'till I will get a license number for it, but since I have the Pro. version on Mac OS X (and standard on Windows), I will generate the linux application from there. 1. No noticeable thing (view from my project) to say. 2. What does not works: a. Drag and drop to the desktop / to OpenOffice.org Write or to a second run on my application. The text goes to the target, but loose the styles (No more Bold, Italic, Underline, Fonts, Colors, Sizes) Copy (from OpenOffice.org Write) / Paste to the styled Editfield also loose the styles. I have added another (a second) EditField just to see if it is capable to receive the drop styled. Results: drag and drop loose the styles; Copy / Paste loose the styles too. b. Save the styled text to the MemoryBlock nothing is saved (MemoryBlock root - the volume folder). When I try to save the file in a folder inside the MemoryBlock (volume folder), I get a permissions error ! Another test using the 2006r4 IDE gives: THIS IS NOT COOL AT ALL: I was able to save the text file in a folder in my MemoryBlock! (OK, unstyled, but the file is there!) I'm going to check that using the Mac OS X (REALbasic 2007r1) generated file and: same result (this is new since I do that earlier, some days ago). WARNING: REALbasic is not involved there, I issued a Get Properties and found that I am not the owner of my own MemoryBlock (the linux box does not have the permissions to write there! BUT, I am able to see and read and copy on the desktop!!!) Sorry RS for the suspicion :( 3. Wait and see in 90 days (or less). 4. Other: a. Why this f... linux loose its date and time settings ? Works fine under Windows XP SPII b. Why when I set EditField1.TextSize = 0, the text size is set to 0, not to the application default ! I will make further testings and make a report for this one alone. Sorry, this is under Windows. c. Why suse is always asking me the password ??? Once to let me change the date, another to let me apply the changes, one when I go back to it after writting some text in this report... Grrrr!
