You can use rectangles that are sized to look like lines. Other than that, you could use a canvas and draw your own. The line bugs have been around for a long time. RS improved the line control with 2006r3b3, IIRC, but it's stil broken. I reported the following bugs in November 2003: fdhxbbjr, vlvvporh, qhrfurhs, qtkccrnc, and plbgayma. Current status = Verified. I submitted a movie that shows that the problems still exist (to a lesser degree) -- I don't see it in the feedback system at the moment. Ugh.
