Hi folks,
I see in the User's Guide a warning not to open two projects that use
the same external item simultaneously. Also there is a Feature Request
to allow this in the feedback-system:

I've tried it nevertheless and cannot find any problem with this. It
even displays every typed character synchronously to the other project
like if I would have opened two windows for the same project. Also
saving and adding methods seems no problem.
Now I'm curious - what is the danger in doing so? I don't want to end up
with damaged project files but as far as I can see it's working
perfectly. Maybe the 'issue' was resolved in the meantime and they
forgot to update the UsersGuide and close the FeatureRequest?
I've tested this using 2006r2 btw.
