"Apple's licenses and grants of licenses covered all required licenses for our purposes"

Your last statement assumes that Apple is shielding any developer from licensing from the license providers or owners. I have been waiting for Apples reply on this.

Can you show where Apple covers the developers in its platform?

Of course if you have questions as the licensing folks at Apple not me ([EMAIL PROTECTED])
It was added about Quicktime 4
A number of Apple's licenses for Quicktime are here http://developer.apple.com/softwarelicensing/agreements/quicktime.html

All your questions should be directed to Apple and their licensing group about what is/is not covered by using Quicktime as either the encoding or playback component in your process Having worked for a media company we went to great lengths to make sure we had all the correct licenses including MPEG 4 licenses for hardware playback Apple's licenses and grants of licenses covered all required licenses for our purposes
