All platforms are supported. Syncing is quite a complex matter btw (what do you do when the same record has been updated in the live and the synchronised version, …). Openbase will make it a lot easier to handle these.
If you need to stay with the PHP/MySQL option, you should write some web services to hook into. You can use one of those Ruby-on-Rails- ripoffs like CakePHP or Symphony, these will probably both have XML- RPC and SOAP built in. SOAP support is available in REALbasic (although I don't know how good it is nowadays, a while ago the SOAP classes weren't suited for anything but extremely basic stuff).
