Why is a property considered "an Expression"?

A property is an expression.
In these examples:

MyProperty=3
or
MyProperty=(50/10+4)/3
or
MyOtherProperty=MyProperty

Everything except the "=" are expressions (like in mathematics: 1+2 is an expression).

MyProperty is an expression, as is (50/10+4)/3, and so
