Hello,
Just did some testing, and this is what I've observed:
When using the old SQLite plugin, issuing a "BEGIN TRANSACTION" query
results in a "journal" file being created, but the file does not grow
in size as records are inserted.
With REALSQLDatabase, a "journal" file is created automatically and
grows in size as records are inserted. Adding a "BEGIN TRANSACTION"
doesn't appear to have any affect on speed or behavior. A "journal"
file is still created and still grows in size as records are inserted.
Tim, I have no idea why you're seeing a difference. Do you have
AutoCommit set to true? Anyone else care to chime in?
Thanks,

Hi Tim,
I'am glad it helped. The LR is a little confusing as Navdeep wrote
in his answer. It should read something like"if you don't start
with a begin transaction the realsql-database-engine will wrap
every individual change to the database automatically in a begin/
end transaction construction. And as you have been seeing that
takes a lot more time.
The OTHER problem is that the SQL documentation in the docs
downloaded with the full download have "missing" pieces.
As a note to others, the Language Reference that you can download
as a separate file has a lot more info on the database stuff than
the LR built into the IDE's Help menu.
Thanks again for all the feedback!
Tim
