right... I just dug out one of my old frameworks and saw what I did.

I created a capsule class with a recordset as a private property, that took a recordset as it's constructor

then I duplicated it's functions and relayed them out of the capsule class....

I must have done it years ago, because it's been part of my working framework for years.

Inelegant but it got the job done. looks like I still have to do the same thing under 2007.

They crash your app when you try to use them and always have
You can't create any useful kind of subclass/superclass of recordset in pure RB code and have it work
