Just one more remark about this.

On the realbasic.com site we get this promo
"Save up to $750 on REALbasic Professional Edition!"
On realbasic.nl there is no mention of any promo (does this mean we are unable to get a promo because we live here?) Also the Developer Support Program is not mentioned on the realbasic.nl site.
When it comes to clarity of what is what, the dutch site is also confusing.
There is a mention of new licences (nieuw), mention of upgrades (from realbasic x?), and then mention of a subscription (abonnement). I'm assuming the subscription is the same as the update plan for realbasic 2007, but since it mention only subscription to rb standard and rb professional (for 1 or 2 years), i cannot be sure of this.

Extra question related to this.
We will need to update 2 previous licenses to rb2007 and order one new one.
One of these licenses used to be for linux, but this one should need to be transfered to a windows license. How does one go about ordering this, since I can't find anything about that. Also the 2 licences expired (we had hoped to start on a rb project earlier, but due to other projects, this project got delayed). Can we order an update plan for a license that already expired, or do we need to order new ones? Also if we can order an update plan, what is the starting date for this plan, the date our originals expired, or the date we buy the update plan.

As you can see there is plenty of room for improvement in the ordering system. I'm sure I'm not the only one that finds it a bit confusing.

Hello,

I would like to clarify a few points concerning this thread.

The French office is fully dedicated to Europe including non EU countries
such as Switzerland or Norway for example. In the last 9 months (since the
office was started), we have serviced hundreds of customers all over Europe.

However, having an office in Europe, does not mean that we stopped working
with our distributors. There are currently 3 distributors in Europe covering
Benelux, German speaking countries and Italy.

We are currently working, with the distributors to facilitate the purchasing
experience and make it as easy as possible for anyone to buy new licence or
upgrade existing licences. However, this requires development work for our
system to handle different currencies, processing credit cards from many
different countries, handling VAT all over Europe and managing existing
contracts, ... So it has not happened quite yet.

Remember, I am European as well and I would like to see all this in place as
much as you to make it easier for all Europeans to purchase REALbasic. :-)

Concerning sales support, you can either e-mail me direct or e-mail us
through our web site support area : http://www.realsoftware.com/support/ Thanks
Pierre
