I'm pretty sure DatabaseName is a redundant part of the database API when you're dealing with local single user Databases.

It is used when interfacing with MySQL, Postgres or other multiple user database sources as in these cases databases are not represented by Folderitems.

Sure there is. Like if I want to check the results of my creation code. Or to briefly browse with the built-in browser. Or to use it in another project. etc…
