did you try to put Édition (the first letter is an uppercase E with an acute 
accent: just in case my accent is lost in the internet ether) ?

If so, I do not understand your answer, if not, please first try, then give 
naswer.

OF COURSE, I do not intended to use an html tag as the first letter of a menu :(

Why don't you just write "=C9dition" instead of "&Eacute;dition"?
