Isn't there a Flush method?
I believe it is a method of the Writeable Class Interface
Yes, there is a Flush method. Just the Flush method does NOT write
the data to disk.
Even after Flush there will be nothing on your disk until you close
the stream (or quit the program which also closes the stream).
That means: If you keep your stream open and don't regularily close
and reopen it, in case of a power failure there will be nothing on
the disk.
I don't know if this behavoir is a bug or a feature.
You can check this behavoir with a file monitor tool like Sonar:
