I have been under a misapprehension that RB2007 couldn't target Classic.

As far as I can tell from the release notes, TargetMacOSClassic will let me build a Carbon Classic build the same as RB5.5.5 would.

As I was reminded off-list, RB5 has a Classic target which is NOT a Carbon build, as well as its Carbon (PEF) build and Mach-O build for OS/X only.

The pure Classic target was dropped in RB200? however that fact does not appear in any release notes. It does appear in http:// www.realsoftware.com/products/realbasic/universal_faq/

As this is the Universal FAQ it doesn't state which specific version introduced these features - I think it was 2006r4 where UB's were introduced?

The only entry in the 2006 release notes regarding 'universal' is:
"2006.4 [New] [OSX] REALSQLDatabase: Now supports building Universal Binaries in REALbasic."

As a side note, whilst it may seem silly to those of you paying close attention to the evolution of RB, I think it is a bug to fail to include such large changes in the release notes. When you are doing historical comparisons, trying to maintain old code, you really need the full picture, not having to rely on something else which was "common knowledge" at the time.
