I once saw a clipping of RB code online that enabled creating that
"poof" effect when you delete something on the Mac. I even did it
once, but that was a long time ago.
Can anyone point me to how that is done?

I move a canvas over the selected row in a listbox that is about to
be deleted, then a timer paints the four 'poof' images into the
Canvas.
The 'poof' images can be found in...
/System/Library/CoreServices/Dock.app/Contents/Resources/poof.png
