I just double checked this and I don't get DataAvailable in Mode 1,
either. In Mode 2, my "ls -lR /" (which is a VERY long process)
definitely updates the editfield regularly (or as regularly as it
normally does).
You guys are right, it does work with Mode = 2. At least it does on
my laptop here at home tonight. I'll have to try that again tomorrow
when I'm at the office, because I couldn't get it to behave today.
