First I want to thank Charles for promptly set up an alternative mailing list
and the others that helped with it.

Now, just because RS decided to revert the situation, should we forget some of
the ideas that were floating around on the list?

For example, the idea of having a web site for the NUG or RB community I think
is a good one. Quoting Joe: "Please keep in mind that if any of the many great
ideas being considered now come to fruition, this site may well be more than
just a home to mailing list(s). It may also be more than a place to get help
(i.e. it may be a place for general discussion, news, and community-building). I
think we can firmly claim, however, that it will be RB-oriented."

Off-course it wouldn't have a mailing list like the NUG ;-)
But it could have a mailing list to discuss ideas to implement for the community
web site or even those ideas could be discussed here on the NUG.

There were several examples for the domains and from the archives I have, it
seems the pool results were:
1st. RBUsers.org / com
2nd. RBCommunity.org / com

BTW, in case something goes wrong with the NUG in future (we all hope not)
everyone would know where to look for.

Note: The idea is not to fragment the RB/NUG community - the idea is to make it
stronger in order to benefit all RB users.

For example: There's a feature request to "Open-source RB Language Reference
content":
<http://www.realsoftware.com/feedback/viewreport.php?reportid=ocjotmpv>
Couldn't this be implemented with RS and the community web site?

Any thoughts, or let's just forget about it?

Carlos
