And if RB had the following that either version of VB has (in terms of obtaining useful reference manuals from Barnes & Noble, Bookstop, B Dalton's etc...), I'd probably agree. But RB hasn't reached the sort of market penetration (or feature stability) for major publishers to jump on the bandwagon - thus the NUG is - to me anyway - a HUGE resource in favor not only of RS, but of the people who use it to find answers for those niggling little (and big) problems that byte their projects in the behind. While there are a few books out there (esp. RB:TDG), there just aren't enough to warrant ditching the NUG for. Plus, while I (and others, let's admit it) probably mock, spoof, and deride Microsoft on occasion, I have to give them this; on those occasions when I have to use VB (6 or .Net), I don't have to worry about the IDE (or the debugger) mysteriously dying like I do when I use RB (any Win32 or Mac version).
And I have to add my "nay" vote for the forums, too.
I forecast... a spoof on the "I'm a PC... and I'm a Mac" commercial, but it'll be more like, "Hi, I'm a NUG... and I'm a forum..." :)

I think you may be overstating the case a little here - ditching RB simply because of the lack of a NUG doesn't strike me as a very sensible reason to
chuck in a development tool.

Hopefully, RS people have their finger on the pulse, and realize
they're flat-lining here! DON'T kill the NUG.
At this rate, the list will become - in the words of Dug the
Podracer, "Bantha Poodoo!"
And shortly thereafter, RS's sales figures will plunge too, as many
(?) former users abandon the platform, the company, and each other,
and take up Cocoa or VB.Net.
