If there is a list or FAQ of "gotchas"... something that just bit me.
The QT movie controller (at least on OSX) is bit "modal". If a user clicks on the scrub bar, or the volume, or the play button, or the steppers... any button actually, and they hold the button down, shortly there after everything else stops... threads, main application thread etc.
This isn't an RB problem, as the same behavior can be shown in the Finder. QuickTime Player uses a different controller and doesn't have this problem.
Hope this helps someone in the future, and it came as the result of a user saying "the whole program just stops" and I couldn't figure out what they were doing until a saw them hold the mouse button down for longer than I was in testing.
