I can do better: my builds occasionally exhibit this behavior and I
fix as others have suggested. But when the "correct" icon appears,
it's my app's custom document icon, not the app icon. I've had this
for 4 years and have never been able to sort this out (I have stripped
and re-inserted all the app icons in the app class).
The only was around is to actually copy-paste the app icon into the
Finder's Get Info box for my built app.
Nuts.
