The slider control that I am using which is the default one that comes with realbasic has a "aqua" look. I have a custom backdrop in my window, are there any custom ones that don't have the "aqua" look, or how do I create my own?

Brian:

Take a look at Alex Restrepo's Round Slider at

http://homepage.mac.com/alexrestrepo/indexmain.html

Its an open source RB class which will help you
create your own look and feel but with the same functionality...its very
simple and easy to understand.

Also, check out SuperSlider from Domain Softworx

http://www.domainsoftworx.com/

This custom slider is also open source and includes
tick marks, reverse direction, and several different
looks.

Using one of these projects, or Tom Benson's suggestions,
you should be able to "roll your own" slider. But
you will need to provide the graphics for the thumb and
draw the graphics for the bar....
