When I set set autocomplete to true, it does not give me the desired
effect. If there are several matches, the first of several fills the
text field and there is dropdown list of other matches is NOT
revealed. I need to get the complete list of matches to drop down.

So far, I can only get the drop-down list to be revealed if I click
the carrot on the right of the combobox (is it called a carrot?). I
can't figure out how to get the list to drop down under programatic
control.
