umm, I work with too many scientists.

I don't think there are 100,000 outstanding bugs :-D

I bet "most" would actually come down to about 10 - 20 bugs.

BTW yes plugins make a huge difference (actually the preparing stage,  
which is not every compile) but I suspect, Joe, you may also have  
more than 1.5GB RAM or don't run much else when compiling.
