QuickTime 7.1.5 is out today, and fixes some bugs with regards to
Flash track playback in QuickTime movies. One bug was that under
older REALbasic versions, Flash tracks wouldn't play back even if
"Enable Flash" was turned ON, with 7.1.3 on Intel macs.

Another interesting change is that in 7.1.5, if Enable Flash is
turned OFF, folderItem.openAsMovie will no longer fail -- instead
you'll just see a blank movie playback. In 7.1.3 it would return Nil
and you could trap for this error. A step backwards in my opinion.

However, it appears that you can test whether Enable Flash is ON or
OFF by checking the component version ('flsh' 'mhlr' 'appl') will
return 0 if disabled.

Does anyone care to cook up sample code for this in REALbasic? I'm a
little rusty with declares under carbon/quicktime.
