Hello

I have made a simple "Hello, world" cgi app. I've also downloaded and
compiled Charlie Boisseau's (http://www.boisseau.co.uk/code/) and Envied
Design's (http://www.envieddesign.net/blog/?page_id=49) examples, and
they all work fine on my Mac (dual G4 with 10.3.9; Realbasic 2006 R3 -
2007 R1 Pro).

They ,however, don't work on a hosted Linux (Debian?) server simply by
uploading to a cgi-enabled directory. I'm not familar with Linux
configurations but based on nug archive postings, the RB compiler build
setting saying "Linux with GTK+ 2.x" means that the Linux configuration
needs a library libstdc++.so.5. Now, is this something that should
already be installed so that some settings in an apropriate config file
(pointers appreciated) would do the trick? Or is it so that a RB cgi app
for Linux requires that you have root or admin rights to install the
library, i.e. can't be run on a hosted site?

For further info, note that I *don't have* root nor admin rights to
install anything, all I have is a program called cPanel (cPanel X
v2.6.0, http://www.cpanel.net/) for administering the site.

TIA,
  Juha "Metsis" Metsäkallas
