Hi,

REALbasic 2007r1 Pro for Mac OS X 10.4.8

I use the following code to remove the Red part of the pixels from the passed
Picture:

  surf = Pict.RGBSurface
  If surf = Nil Then
    // Stop here
    Return // Exit silently
  End If

  // Remove the Green and Blue parts
  For MapLoop = 0 To 255
    RedMap(MapLoop)   = MapLoop
    GreenMap(MapLoop) = 255
    BlueMap(MapLoop)  = 255
  Next

  // Apply the change
  surf.Transform RedMap,GreenMap,BlueMap

Of course - this is why I ask the question - I do not get what I wanted!

I tried - before writing this help message - to understand, but I failed
miserably. I tried wikipedia and some other developer helper sites (I saw code
to deal with colors, transform RGB to whatever / whatever to RGB and so on...).
But I only have a black wall in front of me when I want to go ahead on that
subject.

If there is a kind soule here (there are plenty) with the knowledge (the number
falls) and the pedagogy skill to explain (is there some body here ?) ?
[If so and if you have time, go ahead: explain, please]

Of course a link to a place this already exists is welcome :)

TIA,

Emile
