I tried this (quickly, and only once), but it seemed to skip the tell  
directive, and send the text to the field with the focus.

Focus on UI element 10

tell ui element 9 of sheet "Log In" of window "Main"
keystroke "skslekfek"
end tell

The keystrokes I specified ended up in element 10.

I thought so too.  There must be something else involved in getting  
them registered.
