The only way this is happening on OS X is if someone has somehow  
edited/corrupted your NetInfo database

Open Applications/Utilities/NetInfo.app and check in the "Machines"  
selection, to see if there are some odd match ups. in a normal  
installation there should only be two.

localhost should map to 127.0.0.1
broadcasthost should map to 255.255.255.255

If you see weird entries in there, like google.com mapping to some  
specified address, then someone has had a go at your NetInfo DB
