I've got a wrapper class for the FreeImage API that's freely available on my website. Currently, the wrapper implements basic manipulation capabilities, but I'll be releasing an improved version soon (hopefully this weekend) that includes some really useful capabilities.
Pros: Free (gratis & libre) plugin. Supports a wide range of image formats and manipulation functions. Cons: External library (DLL, SO) instead of built-in. No real easy/efficient way to convert from FreeImage to RB Picture class. (But since it's open, I'm welcome to others' giving me suggestions/code.) You can find the plugin at freeimage.sourceforge.net and my wrapper at www.dingostick.com. -Adam On 3/23/07, Kem Tekinay <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > On 3/22/07 4:26 PM, GregO at [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > > > So I noticed that I can add PNG images to the project (don't really > > know how long this has been going on), does RB not support the > > transparency channel? > > I've had to use the Einhugur plug-ins to use PNG transparencies properly. > > __________________________________________________________________________ > Kem Tekinay (212) 201-1465 > MacTechnologies Consulting Fax (914) 242-7294 > http://www.mactechnologies.com Pager (917) 491-5546 > > To join the MacTechnologies Consulting mailing list, send an e-mail to: > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > > > > > > > > _______________________________________________ > Unsubscribe or switch delivery mode: > <http://www.realsoftware.com/support/listmanager/> > > Search the archives: > <http://support.realsoftware.com/listarchives/lists.html> > -- -Adam dingostick.com _______________________________________________ Unsubscribe or switch delivery mode: <http://www.realsoftware.com/support/listmanager/> Search the archives: <http://support.realsoftware.com/listarchives/lists.html>
