probably, but we are thinking about general use and appeal to novice  
users.

I don't think there is any substitute for building stuff into the  
language. My sense is that when you extend, subtype or modify a basic  
type of object, you are doing it for your own convenience, not for  
general use.

Isn't it better if we all speak the same language, with as few home- 
grown dialects as possible?
