Dealing with Styled Text is a pain regardless

I'm certain Ashers stuff will deal with it at least in teh very  
latest releases (see PDFStyledText Class)

rbclasses/realbasicpdf.html

If you do not need to be cross platfom then maybe the built in OS X  
PDF functionality via MBS would work ?
