Agree. And the fact that it only happens after inserting a DT command; with 
other strings the socket closes all right.

Yes. In fact, as I said, the same project on an Intel-iMac and the same 
external Apple Modem works OK.
I too would say it is a bug.

BTW: a little late in answering since in these days my ISP is suffering its 
monthly breakdown: I can download, but as for sending, nothing to do.
