You don't need to create a new class just to be able to drag it to a
window.  Instead, you can add any class to a window in either of two
ways:

1. Control-click in the window editor, and use the big "Add" submenu to
choose the class you want to add.  Or,

2. Drag an "Object" from the control list (switch the popup to All
Controls if you don't see this at the top of the list), and then simply
change its super to Shell (or whatever class you want).
