I quickly downloaded the full package and installed the stub in
Windows XP. File transfers feel only marginally faster. Both computers
are connected via 100Mbit ethernet and normal file transfers via file
sharing are around 11 MB/sec on average.

The version number of the new stub says 1.2.0.1 in Windows, so I guess
that they have changed something, but I can't feel the obvious speed
boost (like the incremental compiler brings) in this version.
