Hmmm. What would you need to decide whether to buy the book? I picked a couple of the more interesting and tricky subjects, and posted enough that I thought you would have an idea whether I could discuss the subjects clearly and usefully. The book will be $20 as a non-DRMed PDF file. It's about 30,000 words, and almost 150 pages (6x9), including a detailed index. The book is in four sections: a walkthrough-type introduction, intended to get you over the rather difficult hump of understanding just what polymorphism and inheritance are, but without going into every detail. The second is a general discussion of Object Oriented Design principles. The third is a discussion of the design of a real- world kind of project (a multi-window text editor with multiple undo) and how those principles informed its design. The final section is a detailed reference to every OOP feature in REALbasic.
