While I've always wanted one of those, I never actually talked myself into it. If you uninstall the drivers and just let Windows redetect it, will it work as a generic game input device? I had a Saitek pad that wasn't working quite right with something, sorry for the lack of detail but it was a few years ago, and I re-installed the pad as a generic controller which worked just fine. Just a shot in the dark though, and I don't know how well the X45 will work with that.
