Hi, REALbasic 2007 Pro for Mac OS X Mac OS X 10.4.9
I was issuing some "space + Left Arrow" when something strange happens. Another group of "space + Left Arrow" and when I come back to the code editor, I was unable to see any character I typed in the Code Editor pane! Any idea ? Also, do you know why I cannot use Shift-Tab and navigate more than one or two events before I fall back in the Code Editor pane ? Same as above, but in the other order: Why, sometimes, when I press the top or bottom arrow, I navigate in the Events pane ? (depending on the finger speed on the arrow key, I can go from two to much more events before falling into the Code Editor pane) At last, why am I insecure using the IDE recently ? [I am always looking at the screen desesperately - with fear to any weird event - !] After some times of brainstorming, it appears that I really feel insecure when I use the IDE: I expect some weird thing, that is sure. Also, why must I click in the Location field of the Language Reference to be able to type a Command to watch its definition ? [That is in the Macintosh IDE; in the Windows IDE, I do not need to do that and because it is not usable, I do not use the online Language Reference when I am running Novell Linux: I use the Mac OS X one instead -I am fortunate enough to have two laptops!] Why, in my help system, also based on HTMLViewer, must I press the Tab key to be able to use the top or bottom arrow keys (to make a top or bottom scroll) ? And while I am writting those lines I am thinking that either I make testings (and report bugs or behaviours) or I build programs: I cannot make both in the same time. The more I use REALbasic (the current version at the time: 2006r1 thru r4, 2007r1 thru r2...), the more I feel insecure with it, the less I use it (I do not use it for the most part of March 2007, probably waiting 2007r2) and the more I ask myself why I put myself in that state (why do I continue to do something that hurts me - use REALbasic)... Anyone ? Answer to my question gently, please, be cool with me, I need tenderness [1]. E PS: I was making a demonstration yesterday when I exits REALbasic and I am still asking myself how I could do that (I used Command-Q, but why do I do that ?) sometimes inside the demonstration.
