I apologize! I did NOT mean to make a "snide" remark about the forums. The tone of the email was not correctly put down into words. That is MY fault.
Steve Garman is a very helpful person in the forums, and his answers have been very helpful to me and others. I am not complaining about the forums. They have been very helpful. I WAS told in the forums about how to handle the width of headers, but I did miss how to set the listbox width in the language reference. I posted a request at the end of the listbox forum line regarding the width of a listbox header, and received no answer to that one after several days. I truly wasn't meaning to be "snide" or complain, but that is the way it came across. I'll be more careful next time. Mea Culpa. thanks, wade Date: Wed, 18 Apr 2007 16:38:14 +0100 From: "Steve Garman" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: change width of a listbox To: REALbasic NUG <[email protected]> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" > How do I change the width of a listbox? Strange that you don't feel the need to mention the forums' place in giving you that information > However, I've not seen how to get the current width of the list box, or > change it. I posted the question on the vaunted forums, but no answer as of > yet (several days). The forums are hit or miss in terms of answers. But you do feel the need to make snide comments about the forums here. It's rarely a good idea in the forums to tack a new question on to the end of a previous thread as you did here: http://forums.realsoftware.com/viewtopic.php?p=69174#69174 I suspect that's why the people who were helping you failed to the supplementary question. -- Steve Garman Using REALbasic Professional on Windows XP Pro _______________________________________________ Unsubscribe or switch delivery mode: <http://www.realsoftware.com/support/listmanager/> Search the archives: <http://support.realsoftware.com/listarchives/lists.html>
