Hi Patrick, This sounds like it might be the solution!
I am not at work to check at the moment, but what you are describing fits the problem perfectly. I have been using a second screen and probably had RB LR running on the second display at last use (second screen is set above laptop). Sounds like a bug to me as generally all apps reposition themselves on the main display on unplugging the second display!
