I should also add that Format() is just a structured way of converting a numeric value to a string. Using Format(), you can define how many characters are represented in a string. For example, if you changed Steve's example to "Format(d.hour, "0000"), it would display 0020:00:00 for 8PM. The Hour value of the Date Class is already in 24 hour format so no conversion is necessary. If you wanted a 12 hour AM/PM format you would be required to make this conversion in code for your display string. There are further examples in the LR for the Format function.
