I don't think you are talking to your self, most of us are just
finding directions. So I guess no comments from other authors
probably just means that no-one had much to add to it.
It is clearly critical to not brake the existing SDK.

Looks like I am talking to myself :-(
The untouched new plugin SDK with RB2006 release 3 breaks dynamic
access when it comes to REALGetPropValue (Boolean) and
REALSetPropValue (Boolean). Really, the entry points
"REALSetPropValueBoolean" and "REALGetPropValueBool" are necessary
in release 3, instead of "REALGetPropValueUInt8" and
"REALSetPropValueUInt8"
And of course adding the above definitions to the new SDK, aka
touching the SDK will resort in compiler complaints. While I could
modify the SDK myself, I'd rather would like to have some input
from: AJB and others involved. This to prevent me making changes
every time a new SDK will come out. I suspect updates because this
sdk is alpha.
Further, while I know this is not really appropriate on this list,
given that novel features of the sdk only will work with the
alpha-4 releases, I urge you to respond here because it relates to
plugin dev.
