I'm pretty sure it's 4 on the Mac, so I'd rather get it aligned to
the same on Win32 also.
If the structures are used as the class/control data, the structures
need to be the same size on both Mac and Windows, because the size
that is given to the compiler is that of the plugin the IDE loads.
This is also important if you use the FieldOffset macro for properties.
If it's just in your own C/C++ code, and not used in any part of
class/control declarations, you can align to whatever your heart's
content :)
