On Windows also debugging did work fine for us last years.
For this we do:
* Build MyApp.Exe in RB
* then Copy or Build into this App folder once again debug V4RB.dll
Visual Debugger start myapp.exe and - miracle
it is used V4RB.dll plugin from app folder...
All works fine as I have told and quite easy.
