Hi,

I requested a cross-platform plugin tool years ago -
http://www.realsoftware.com/feedback/viewreport.php?reportid=ffqwwspk
  - they closed it feeling that their existing solution is accurate. I
think we need to all add to this one and link to it and keep insisting
till they listen. They have not had a proper solution since before the
linux days with codewarrior. GCC/G++ can do what we need with proper
templates for XCode - The cocoatron project has managed to make a
cross-platform compile template for XCode that works - it would make
for a good starting point for a realbasic plugin tool.

Then they need a tutorial based on the new process to do a simple GUI
plugin. This needs to be a step by step type tutorial that implements
a full blown control on all three platforms. (maybe it starts with Mac
and Windows only, but less than all three would be stopgap, but may be
easier since there is already a good starting point in the cocoatron
project.

The plugin community needs to grow and perhaps needs to be a bit of a
squeaky wheel until we get what we need to be productive.

I love realbasic, I want to see it grow, and a robust plugin
development community would be a good start. I found the plugin stuff
to be difficult enough that I just linked to dylibs and DLL's and
ignore Linux.

Thanks,
Bobby
