Then you really just need to focus on the GCC version (because after all
Xcode is just a wrapper around GCC). 3.3 can target back to 10.0 while 4.0
can only go back to 10.3.9. Correctly defining the deployment version of the
OS in the Xcode settings will help catch APIs that only exist in a later OS
version.
