Feeling of absolute vulnerability!

....As a salaried person, I have to insist, however, that the gap between the rich and the poor is growing to very threatening limits. For witnessing the landing of Asif Ali Zardari at the Lahore airport from a safe distance, one had spent the last weekend in that city. Roaming in the streets of the downtown, one discovered the intensity of a building rage amongst the wretched of our earth through random chatting with so many people. With utter contempt, names are named; of persons, heavily involved in the real estate racket..... The armchair liberals of ours aggressively defend these parties in the name of "enlightened moderation." Doing this, they simply disregard the rage such happenings provoke amongst the abandoned and marginalized segments of our society. Only the political Maulanas of the religious-right are correctly aware of the building rage. Very cunningly, they fuel it rather while drumming the argument that the "godless West" was invading the religious and cultural values of Pakistan by promoting and enriching a peculiar class of "enlightened moderates." It is a kind of narrative that Ayatullahs of Iran had spun for harnessing and steering the rage of the downtrodden against their Shah and "economic turnaround" that he presumed to have staged through the "white revolution."
