All district, city and tehsil governments in Punjab have been directed not to register any housing scheme that does not fulfil basic conditions, including minimum requirement of 160 kanals, it has been learnt. A notification to this effect was recently issued by the Punjab government.
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) expects to earn billions of rupees from auction of commercial and residential plots in the metropolis."We have identified the plots to be auctioned. The schedule for the open auction will be decided shortly," a CDA official told �The News� Tuesday.
