Paraguay has always been very investor friendly with hardly any
restrictions regarding transfer of funds.
The environmental laws in Paraguay used to be supervised in a very lax
manner.
This changed since it is supervised by the World Bank.
Land can only be developed with a development permit and a percentage
has to remain untouched as ecological reserve.
In the past many Estancia owner developed far more land than allowed and
owners now have to invest quite some
money for reforestation.

Contrary to Europe or North America, in South America neither
industrially produced food for fattening
nor chemical treatment of pastures is in use. Veterinary health is under
