Subject: g2 producer and NAT

Hi,

I've spent a little while bashing my head against a wall trying to
broadcast a live stream using real producer g2 (6.1) from behind a
NAT-protected network. After some time in the support web pages I realised
this was my problem :).

My question is, can the g2 producer be expected to operate correctly
through NAT in the near future? And in the meantime, how can I go about
configuring the firewall to work around realproducer being "not tcp
clean"? Does this mean the RealProducer needs to know its public IP
address, or is some kind of reverse connection required? If anyone has
found their way out of a similar situation please let me know.

Thanks

[ Moderator's Note: RealProducer G2 6.1 allows you to set the transport to use
TCP, allowing encoding through NAT. Keep in mind, though, that RealProducer G2
6.1 will not remain connected to RealServer G2 6.0. You must use RealServer G2
6.1 beta. ]
