SMIL does not support javascript any more than HTML supports javascript.
SMIL is a file format.  The RealPlayer does not support javascript, so it
is not possible using SMIL alone to change images on a mouse-over.

It would be possible for you to write some datatype plugins that would
support swapping images when a region gets a mouse-over, but that is
probably beyond the scope of your project.

The current version of SMIL does give you the ability to change images
according to a timeline-- just not via user input.

You can embed SMIL in a web browser by embedding the RealPlayer ActiveX
control and Netscape plug-in in the web page.  I suggest you read the docs
for more information on embedding the RealPlayer.
